| Orsay, December 2008
The new release includes many improvements on different levels of
the CHIP system, i.e. on the kernel as well as on the modules.
Within CHIP V5.9, we highlight two major new features:
-
"Meta-post" and "Propagation level"
for Global Constraints
A new meta-predicate "meta_post" is introduced to
allow the posting of Global Constraints with different needed
attributes.
A new "propagation level" attribute is introduced
to make possible the parametrization of different level of
propagation methods used within Global Constraints. This feature
is especially interesting when dealing with planning and
scheduling problems with very large number of tasks.
-
New PLLIB and Graphics tools
Many new tools were introduced in the PLLIB and graphics
modules (XGIP, PLLIB and GAELL). These new tools include : a
"log" library, a collection utility library "Array",
a new panel item "dual browser", a "splash screen"
display ...
New libraries dedicated to Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 are also
provided within CHIP-C and CHIP-C++ packages.
