The last CHIP Users' Club has taken place at the Hôtel
Concorde La Fayette (Paris Porte Maillot) from the 16th to 17th of
October 2008.
This year, the seminar included fifteen presentations given by
users and partners in a "cosy" environment in the heart of
Paris.
The implementation of CHIP technology within the
Industrial Planning and Supply Chain, has been illustrated this year
through presentations of early adopters such as Dassault Aviation
and ERG Petroli (Italy) and partners such as CTC/Itochu
Techno-Solutions Corp. (Japan), SIR Plan (Germany) and PrimaFrance.
In the area of Manpower Planning & Scheduling with the OPTI-CHANNEL
software package, the testimony concerned a wide range of
sectors: prison guards (Ministry of Justice - France),
seagoing staff of the SNCM (National Corsica Mediterranean
Company), broadcast technical staff and journalists at France 24 and
Lagardere Active.
An overview of current R&D around CHIP
technology was presented by our partners in academic and research
field: Fraunhofer (Germany), ENSEIRB, Implexe and
INRIA.
The great success of this event was an illustration of world-wide
synergy around CHIP technology and OPTI-CHANNEL software
package.
